Minutes for May 24, 2022
The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with two members present, Supervisor Wissler was absent. Ranell Drake, Chairman, presided over the meeting. The minutes were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
At 10:15 the Board met with the County Attorney via telephone who requested a closed session. It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake, pursuant to Iowa Code 21.5 (1) (c) to go into closed session at 10:15 am to discuss pending litigation. Ayes Wilhelm and Drake; nays none. Wissler absent, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to go out of closed session at 10:35 am. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve an employee contract and agreement between Sac County and Calhoun County and Nick Buse, PE, to employ Nick Buse as joint County Engineer for the period beginning July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023for an annual salary of $111,618.00. ayes all, motion carried. No other changes were made to the current contract and agreement.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
