Minutes for July 19, 2022

The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding.  The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
                It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded Wissler to approve the agenda as posted.  Ayes all, motion carried.
                It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a $5,000.00 request from Wanita Friedrichsen on behalf of the Odebolt Swimming Pool to assist with necessary repairs to the pool.  Said request will be paid from the Special Projects Fund.  Ayes all, motion carried.
                The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
                It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to accept the low bid for FY23 concrete patching project from Ten Point Construction in the amount of $261,744.00.  Ayes all, motion carried.
                Chairman Drake administered the Oath of Office for two newly hired Deputies with the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, George Athan and Adam Jochims. 
                There was no action taken on a request from local residents to use the Courthouse lawn on August 24, 2022, to participate in the Iowa 99 County Bible Reading Marathon until consult can be made with the County Attorney in this regard.
                It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a tile repair in Section 9, Boyer Valley Township located in DD 59 in the amount of $350.00 to be completed by Brian Pickhinke Backhoe & Tiling.  Ayes all, motion carried.
                It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve a 5-day liquor license for Sassy Lemonade Slushes, pending receipt of a Certificate of Insurance naming Sac County as additional insured.  Ayes all, motion carried.
                It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve claims as presented.  Ayes all, motion carried.
                It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the drainage claims as presented.  Ayes all, motion carried.
                With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
