Minutes for July 8, 2025
The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Fischer and Wissler in attendance; Supervisor Drake was absent. Jim Wissler chaired the meeting. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted.
Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the Sheriff's quarterly report for the quarter ending June 30, 2025. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the Recorder's quarterly report for the quarter ending June 30, 2025. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to adopt Resolution #25-0708 authorizing a local match of cash or in-kind of up to $3,750 for a $25,000 grant through Iowa Dept of Homeland Security and Emergency Management for hazard mitigation assistance. Ayes Fischer and Wissler; nays none, Drake absent, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
Kim Becerra of Sac City addressed the Board with questions about the Magistrate Court system and oversight of that office.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
