Minutes for September 9, 2025

The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted.
Ayes all, motion carried.

The Board of Supervisors met via telephone with the Calhoun County Board of Supervisors to consider claims on three different drainage districts.

It was moved by Ridgely and seconded by Fischer to appoint David George as chairman and Samantha Dettmann as secretary. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Ridgely to approve a claim for $1,560.00 for watchman services on Joint Drainage District 59-7. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Ridgely to adjourn the meeting. ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by George that Ranell Drake serve as chairman for Joint DD 88-280 and Renee Roland serve as secretary. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Ridgely to approve a claim for $480.00 for Watchman services on Joint DD 88-280. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by George and seconded by Fischer to adjourn the meeting. ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Jacobs to appoint Ranell Drake and Chairman for Joint Drainage District 20-119 and Renee Roland as Secretary. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Wissler and seconded by George to approve a claim for $2,893.65 submitted by Brush and Weed Control Services, Inc for brush and weed control on Joint DD 20-119. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Ridgely to adjourn. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve Resolution 25-0909 authorizing the transfers of $44,860.50 from General Basic fund to Secondary Road fund and $473,000.50 from Rural Basic fund to Secondary Road fund. Ayes Drake, Fischer, Wissler; nays none, motion carried.

It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to direct the Auditor to post a notice of intent to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Sheriff Jonathon Meyer for Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Ayes all, motion carried.

The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.

With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
