Minutes for September 23, 2025
The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as posted.
Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to table any action on an alleged nuisance property pursuant to Iowa Code 657A. Ayes all, motion carried.
A motion by Fischer to appoint Joel Suggitt as Sac County Sheriff died for lack of a second. It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to appoint Kathryn Stange as Sac County Sheriff to fill a vacancy. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Chairman administered the oath of office to Kathryn Stange as Sheriff of Sac County.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as listed on the claims register int he Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve a claim for $1,812.50 for services rendered on a tile investigation and repair in Drainage District 71, Main tile. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Auditor informed the Board of a problem with the lights on the Veteran's memorial on the Courthouse lawn. The lights are shut off due to a short in the wiring. An estimate for repairs has been requested.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve an Amended and Restated Road Use and Repair Agreement with Mid-American Energy. Ayes all, motion carried
