Minutes for September 30, 2025
The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to amend the agenda to consider a resolution regarding the appointment of Sheriff Stange. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
Ben Ringgenberg, Sac County EMS Director, updated the Board on the condition of the Sac County Ambulance vehicles and funding options for a new ambulance. The Board directed Ringgenberg to proceed with review of funding options.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve an application for a building permit in the Sac City transition zone submitted by Chris Sliefert on the property located at 2694 Sierra Ave. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve appointment of Jessica Hansen to the Sac County Board of Adjustment. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to adopt Resolution 25-0930A, designating the voting representatives from Sac County for the Iowa State Association of Counties. Ayes Drake, Fischer and Wissler; nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to adopt and sign Resolution 25- 0930B, appointing Katie Stange as Sac County Sheriff to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Sheriff Ken McClure. Ayes Drake, Fischer and Wissler; nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
