Minutes for January 13, 2026
The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to adopt Resolution 2026-0113, approving the weight restrictions on bridges located in Section 32, Richland Township to 3 tons, Section 26, Viola Township to all vehicles, one lane and Section 15, Levy Township to no posting. Ayes Drake, Fischer, Wissler; nays none, motion carried.
Representatives from the Sac County Library Boards presented their annual report for 25/26 and a funding request for a 5% increase for fiscal year 26/27. No action was taken.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve application for a building permit in the Schaller Urban Transition Zone submitted by Roger and Linda Sleight. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
Chris Mason presented a review of activities of Sac Economic and Tourism Development for 2025 and requested funding in the amount of $90,000 for fiscal year 26/27. No action was taken. This is the same amount that was approved for 25/26.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to direct the County Attorney to negotiate a tower lease agreement amendment with Verizon Equipment. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
