The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Supervisor Fischer issued a statement thanking the Sac County EMS, Sac County Sheriff, Loring Hospital and others who assisted with the mass casualty accident in Calhoun County last week. He sent condolences to the Johnson family and prayers for speedy recovery for those injured.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve renewal of employment contract between Brian Blomme and Buena Vista, Calhoun and Sac Counties to serve as drainage engineer for fiscal year 26/27. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
At 10:1 0 am, the Boards of Supervisors from Sac and Calhoun Counties met via phone conference with the County Engineer to discuss the salary for that position. At the request of the County Engineer, it was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to go into closed session pursuant to Iowa Code Section 21.5(1 )(i) at 10:28 am. Ayes Drake, Fischer, Wissler; nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to come out of closed session at 10:45 am. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board directed the County Auditor to put the Engineer's contract on the agenda for consideration on Tuesday, February 24. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
