The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve an employment contract and agreement between Sac County, Calhoun County and Nick Buse, County Engineer for the two counties for engineering services for the period beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2029. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to adopt Resolution 26-0224, authorizing the County Engineer to place an embargo on County Road M35 from 360th Street to 400th Street to vehicles in excess of five (5) tons pursuant to Iowa Code 321.472. Ayes Drake, Fischer, Wissler; nays none, motion carried.
Blake Mohr with Colburn and Son Insurance presented a renewal proposal for the County's insurance coverage. The proposal included a 2% increase in liability and a 2% increase on scheduled equipment and buildings. No action was taken.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve a collective bargaining agreement between Sac County Board of Supervisors and Sac County Professional Paramedic Association Local 3669 for fiscal year 2026/27. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the drainage claims as presented. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve claims submitted on Joint Drainage District 59 & 7, sac and Calhoun in the amount of $2,160.00 and on Joint Drainage District 51 &195, Sac and Calhoun in the amount of $600.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
