The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted.
Ayes all, motion carried.
There was no one present for Citizens Input.
The Sac County Prevent Child Abuse Council and a few East Sac County Elementary students appeared to read the Proclamation which was signed by the Sac County Board of Supervisors to declare April as Child Abuse Awareness Month.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve claims as presented in the amount of $$53,640.15. Ayes all. Motion carried.
Denise Ballard, IGHCP Representative, presented renewal options for the county’s health, dental and vision insurance, as well as other insurance options offered to employees. No action was taken.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the Sheriff’s Quarterly Report. Ayes all. Motion carried.
The Board acknowledged receipt of a letter of resignation from long-time Sac County Auditor, Jim Dowling, stating the effective date of his retirement would be April 10, 2026. The Board expressed its appreciation and gratitude to Jim for over 44 years of service to Sac County. His commitment, leadership and contributions have had a lasting impact on Sac County.
After an update from Sheriff Stange regarding information regarding the tower lease, it was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to adopt Resolution #2026-0407, Resolution of the Sac County Board of Supervisors Approving Amendment #3 to the Equipment Location Agreement with Commnet Cellular Inc dba Verizon Wireless and Authorizing Execution Thereof. Ayes: Drake, Fischer, Wissler. Nays: None. Ayes all. Motion carried
With there being no further business, on motion by Fischer and seconded by Drake, the meeting was adjourned.
