The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the minutes of the last meeting as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried.
There was no one present for Citizens Input.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as presented in the amount of $417,283.46. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve an Application for Tile Crossing located in Section 33, Richland Township, and submitted by Maverick Revocable Trust and Hemer Solutions LLC. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the Payment Policy for Right of Way Acquisition in 2026, which addresses payment for easements, fence removal and replacement of fence. Ayes all. Motion carried.
At 10:30am, Chairman Wissler opened the Public Hearing for Approval of the FY2027 budget. There was no one from the public present. The proposed budget was reviewed. It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to close the public hearing. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to adopt the Sac County FY2027 budget as presented and as published on April 7, 2026. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to adopt Resolution #25-0421-1, Approval of FY2027 Maximum Property Tax Dollars, stating that the hearing for such was held on March 31, 2026, and maximum property tax dollars shall not exceed $5,582,897 for General County Services and $2,595,340 for Rural County Services. Roll call vote: Ayes – Drake, Fischer, Wissler. Nays – None. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to adopt Resolution #25-0421-2, Sac County Elected Official Compensation for FY2027, adopting the following salary recommendations: Attorney - $138,551, Auditor - $81,887, Recorder - $78,495, Treasurer - $78,495, Sheriff - $122,149, Supervisor - $36,805. Roll call vote: Ayes – Drake, Fischer, Wissler. Nays – None. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to adopt Resolution #25-0421-3, Approval of FY2027 Budget and Levy Rates, approving the following levies and property tax asking: Levies: General Basic – 3.26643, General Supplemental – 1.95321, Rural Service – 3.29022, Debt Service – 0.40083, Emergency Medical Services – 0.75000; and Property Tax Dollars: General Basic - $3,762,769, General Supplemental - $2,250,000, Rural Service - $2,744,072, Debt Service - $470,322, Emergency Medical Services - $863,969. Roll call vote: Ayes – Drake, Fischer, Wissler. Nays – None. Ayes all. Motion carried.
There being no further business, on motion by Drake and seconded by Fischer, the meeting was adjourned.
