The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present. Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. 

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the minutes of the last meeting as presented.  Ayes all.  Motion carried. 

It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as presented.  Ayes all.  Motion carried.

There was no one present for Citizens Input.

Chairman Wissler opened the Public Hearing for the Consideration of Adoption of Proposed Sac County Ordinances.  

It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to close the public hearing.  

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the FY26 Iowa DOT Budget Amendment presented by County Engineer, Nick Buse.  Said reflects the purchase of four used motor graders. The purchase of these units presented an unexpected opportunity to trade in four high hour graders for lower hour machines, resulting in anticipated cost savings on future equipment purchases.  To offset this additional expense in the FY26 budget, Secondary Roads will plan for reduced equipment expenditures in the coming years.  Ayes all.  Motion carried.

County Engineer, Nick Buse, gave an update on Secondary Road projects, including various bridge and other repairs.

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve an Opioid Funding request from Loring Hospital in the amount of $5,444.27 for 2 Emergency carts with dedicated opioid treatment drawer.  Ayes all.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve an Opioid Funding request from Sac County Public Health in the amount of $27,778.48 for implementation of a drug disposal program.  Ayes all.  Motion carried. It was also noted that the Supervisors wish to thank Loring Hospital and Plains Area Mental Health for their offer of collaboration on this project. 

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve an Opioid Funding request from Sac County Public Health in the amount of $11,028.35 for implementation of SafeRx Locking Vial initiative.  Ayes all.  Motion carried.

There was discussion regarding options for commercial garbage pickup for the county locations as the City of Sac City will cease operations for commercial pickup.  There was no action taken. 

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the claims as presented in the amount of $147,291.28. Ayes all.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve Informal Resolution regarding Complaint 26FC:0028 between Sac County Supervisors and Iowa Public Information Board. Roll Call Vote – Ayes: Drake, Fischer, Wissler. Nays: None.  Motion carried. 

There being no further business, on motion by Fischer and seconded by Wissler, the meeting was adjourned.
