The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Chairman Wissler, presiding, and the following members present: Drake and Fischer; and with Auditor Renee Roland as clerk for the meeting. Absent: None.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting held on July 28, 2026, as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried.
There were no comments or concerns presented during Citizens Input.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as presented in the amount of $34,419.24. Ayes all. Motion carried.
Brian Blomme, Drainage Engineer, presented an IDALS Nutrient Reduction Wetland Site Plan #SAC883604B, for property located in Drainage District 4 and owned by John & Linda Youberg Revocable Trust and Ann M Youberg Czaja Trust. It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to recognize the site plan and authorize Brian Blomme to work with IDALS to complete the wetland site plan as submitted with the understanding no expenses will be required of DD4. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to reappoint Brenda Schoneboom as Sac County Representative to the Region XII Regional Housing Authority Board of Directors for a term from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to waive the second and third readings of Ordinance #2026-0804-1, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 8 of the Code of Ordinances of Sac County, Iowa, Tax Sale Certificate, to Conform the Chapter to Iowa Code Section 446.19A and to Add Vacant Lot Authority. Roll call vote: Ayes – Drake, Fischer, Wissler. Nays – None. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to adopt Ordinance #2026-0804-1, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 8 of the Code of Ordinances of Sac County, Iowa, Tax Sale Certificate, to Conform the Chapter to Iowa Code Section 446.19A and to Add Vacant Lot Authority. Roll call vote: Ayes – Drake, Fischer, Wissler. Nays – None. Motion carried.

It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake adopt Ordinance #2026-0804-2, An Ordinance Enacting Chapter 52 of the Code of Ordinances of Sac County, Iowa, Establishing a Public Nuisance Tax Sale for the Rehabilitation of Abandoned Property for Use as Housing.
