The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Chairman Wissler, presiding, and the following members present: Fischer; and with Auditor Renee Roland as clerk for the meeting. Absent: Drake.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting held on August 4, 2026, as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried.
There were no comments or concerns presented during Citizens Input.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims as presented in the amount of $123,324.70. Ayes all. Motion carried.
Nick Buse, County Engineer, updated the Board as to current repair and maintenance items, including an update on paving and resurfacing of county roads, potential purchase of wheels/tires for motograders and a bridge repair delay.
There was no action taken regarding county zoning related to Battery Energy Storage Systems, Data Mining Centers and Large-Scale Data Centers and this item was tabled to next week.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to adopt Resolution #2026-0811 – Resolution Approving, Ratifying, and Adopting an Ordinance Enacting Chapter 52 of the Code of Ordinances of Sac County, Iowa, Public Nuisance Tax Sale, and an Ordinance Amending Chapter 8 of the Code of Ordinances of Sac County, Iowa, Tax Sale Certificate. Roll Call Vote: Fischer – aye, Wissler – aye, Drake – absent. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the following drainage assessments, as a percentage of the original assessment schedules for each drain with a minimum assessment of $5.00 to each parcel, due and payable September 30, 2026: DD 11 – 2% for a total of $4,071.00, DD 27 – 950% for a total of $27,619.00, DD 61 – 33% for a total of $954.00, DD 71 Main Open Ditch – 40% for a total of $56,542.00, DD 71 Main Tile – 7% for a total of $13,172.00, DD 71 Lee Drain – 6% for a total of $2,564.00, DD 71 Branch A – 105% for a total of $1,050.00, DD 80 – 657% for a total of $10,357.00, DD 81 Main Open Ditch – 136% for a total of $29,278.00, DD 81 Lateral A – 133% for a total of $2,559.00 and DD 81 Lateral B – 41% for a total of $1,721.00. Ayes all. Motion carried.
