The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Chairman Wissler, presiding, and Supervisors Drake and Fischer present; and with Auditor Renee Roland as clerk for the meeting.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the minutes of the last regular board meeting held on September 14, 2026, as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried.
There were no comments or concerns presented during Citizens Input.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the First Amendment to the First Amended and Restated Road Use and Repair Agreement Between MidAmerican Energy Company and Sac County, Iowa, which updates the construction haul route for the Auburn Solar Project and to adopt Resolution #2026-0922B, Resolution Approving the First Amendment to the First Amended and Restated Road Use and Repair Agreement Between MidAmerican Energy Company and Sac County, Iowa. Roll call vote: Drake – aye, Fischer – aye, Wissler – aye. Motion carried.
It was noted that Calhoun County approved a corresponding agreement containing the same terms and conditions as the agreement signed by Sac County.
Joint Drainage District meeting of the Sac and Calhoun County Boards of Supervisors acting as Trustees for Joint Drainage District 88-280 was called to order.
It was moved by Jacobs and seconded by Drake to appoint Jim Wissler as Chairman of the Joint Drainage District meeting and appoint Renee Roland as Secretary. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Ridgely and seconded by Drake to approve the Sac County and Calhoun County Drainage District Agreement between Joint Drainage District 88-280 and MidAmerican Energy. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by George to adopt Joint Resolution of the Boards of Supervisors of Sac County, Iowa, and Calhoun County, Iowa, Acting Jointly as Trustees of Joint Drainage District No. 88 Sac, No. 280 Calhoun – Sac County Resolution #2026-0922C and Calhoun County Resolution #2026-42. Roll call vote: Calhoun County – Jacobs – aye, George – aye, Ridgely – aye and Sac County – Drake – aye, Fischer – aye, Wissler – aye. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by George to adjourn the joint drainage district meeting. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve a Private Burial Site Agreement and Grant of Easement to the Estate of Kermit A. Ziegmann for his remains to be buried on the property locally known as 3450 Ira Avenue, Odebolt, Iowa and adoption of Resolution No. 2026-0922A, Resolution Approving a Private Burial Site Agreement and Grant of Easement Under Chapter 67 of the Sac County Code of Ordinances (Estate of Kermit A. Ziegmann). Roll call vote: Drake – aye, Fischer – aye, Wissler – aye. Motion carried.
Nick Buse, County Engineer, updated the board as to current repair and maintenance projects including that the asphalt overlay project in Sac County has been completed and the DOT Highway 39 bridge project has been completed and the road has been opened.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as presented in the amount of $61,583.59. Ayes all. Motion carried.
There being no further business, on motion by Fischer and seconded by Drake, the meeting was adjourned.
