The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in special session with Chairman Wissler, presiding, and Supervisors Drake and Fischer present; and with Auditor Renee Roland as clerk for the meeting. The special meeting was held to conduct interviews with the applicants for the position of Sac County Human Resources Director.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried.
The Board took up the interview of applicant Savana Dettmann, scheduled for 11:30am. Prior to the commencement of the interview, the Board inquired of Ms. Dettmann whether she wished the Board to go into closed session pursuant to lowa Code § 21.5(1)(i) to evaluate her professional competency, and Ms. Dettmann requested a closed session. lt was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to go into closed session pursuant to lowa Code § 21.5(1)(i) to conduct the interview of Savana Dettmann and to evaluate her professional competency. Roll call vote - Ayes: Drake, Fischer, Wissler. Nays: None. Motion carried. The Board entered closed session at 11:32am. lt was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to come out of closed session at 11:55am. Ayes all. Motion carried.
The Board did not select or appoint a person to fill the position at this special meeting. The agenda item was placed on the agenda for the next regular board meeting scheduled on September 22, 2026.
There being no further business, on motion by Drake and seconded by Fischer, the meeting was adjourned. Ayes all. Motion carried.
