McDonald Greenbelt
The 123 acres is managed as a wildlife area.
It lies along the North Raccoon River and is mostly wooded uplands consisting of oaks, walnuts and maples. An abandon railroad right-of-way runs northwesterly from the property and is also a SCCB managed area. The lowland is mainly grassy riparian area. Park visitors may take in morel hunting or bird watching, while others may find an abundance of whitetailed deer and wild turkey to hunt. One may also enjoy canoeing or fishing for walleye, channel catfish and smallmouth.
